Charities have found it increasingly difficult over the last few months to maintain fundraising and carry out their charitable objectives. As such they are seeking to find new sources of fundraising and small scale events like this one could help.

There'll be 4 of us cycling the 118km (74miles) from Chatham to Greenwich and back on Sunday 28th June, but really this is a test of whether or not this type of fundraising works for small local organisations as much as it does for larger national charities.

If you want to donate it would be gratefully received as the Medway League of Friends really does do fantastic work in the community, not only in terms of donations to the local NHS, but also in other ways. Work Experience and Duke of Edinburgh's Award Scheme placements, Volunteering opportunites, social events and so on, not to mention the benefit to patient, staff and visitor experience provided by the shop, its huge range of products and its friendly faces.
